The love of a birth place

You can love you're homeland but, what defines a homeland? You can love your birth place but, your birth place is the few square meters of space you were born on. The hospital bed, the room in a house or a random space with a wild story for the human who brought you into the world went into labor in an expected situation.  Just those few square meters are your birth place.

For those who know me, know that when I moved as a teen very stubbornly holding on to the desire to see the place I was born in, I moved to Delano. Not California. Not United States of America. Delano. My very first job was at the pharmacy in Delano located in the hospital I was born in. There is sense of attraction my body holds to that piece of land in this vast wide world I can never explain. From a 3 year old child who didn't even know what a country was to a teenager who had a relatively fair idea of what a struggle it would be for one to move away from not just parents and home they grew up in but the society and system they grew up in, not once did the heart waver. For naught but the love of a birth place and the intense desire to touch it once in life.

The American dream was something I read of in my US History class after I moved to Delano. The American dream, is not something I ever held before or after learning of it. Dreams should be built on whimsy of the child like fantasy and tempered in the fire of constructed social reality, finally giving form a to new reality braking the bounds of social norms. Dreams are not something force fed to the mind bound within the parameters of society created by generations past. When dreams lose the whimsy and wild fantasies of unbound imagination carried by the childlike innocence and purity of our heart, the world become so dull that it isn't worth living. So depressing that being alive becomes a burden. Slowly our collective conscious becomes shackled by the perceived reality unable to break  through the prison we ourselves locked us in. Extreme nationalism, I find is that prison, which humanity has currently constructed and locked itself in.

Its not just the American public that in imprisoned. It in fact is majority of the humanity and nations. When we amplify the importance of the nation our birth place reside in that was constructed by human boundaries while denying the connection the birth place has to the whole planet and the planet has with the universe, we become so narrow minded that we cannot see our hands holding the dagger thrust into our own hearts. Policies, governance, democracies, these are ideas built by men who undermined the idea of the laws of nature. Jungle law is archaic and human law sophisticated but then, what law governs the nature that has kept the whole universe in order for longer than humanity has existed. If it really is so insignificant, why is all human knowledge built upon it. What is the worth of a creature that denies the existence that birthed it? Our birth place, is this planet. Our homeland, is also this planet. It is not the piece of land drawn on a piece of paper called map, defined as a Nation with boundaries from anyone's pen.

When you deny the whole planet in leu of a Nation, you deny your humanity. And with it, you deny the natural history, the elements, the creation of you. A nation did not create the body, the heart that beats or the brain that thinks. A nation did not create the biology that runs your body and makes it function giving  you life. A nation did not birth you, your parents or your ancestors. Denying any bit of this planet or your responsibility and role towards it's functioning is denying yourself. Putting nationalism above the whole planet is imprisoning yourself while slowly trusting a dagger into your own heart both living and killing yourself with every breath. If that is what you so choose to do, it is your choice. I neither care to enlighten you nor set you free from your self created prisons. I simply wish to lay bare the reality you chose to ignore for it is too hard to digest. I simply chose to weave a dream that while you may never break free from this prison but someone somewhere fighting their own mind to stay free will read this and find strength to keep fighting for their humanity.

End of humanity is not the end of the world or this planet. End of humanity is just that, end of humanity and if, things keep moving in the direction they are globally, the cause of this end will be nationalism. Yet, I burn a candle in the darkness with hope a tribe of humans still connected to it's homeland unbound by any boundaries may someday turn the tide and change the  direction we humans are flowing in.
