Quiet before the storm.

Quiet before the storm.

It's phrase we are all very familiar with. Generally seems true.

But the thing is I'm inquisitive by nature. So I question things until I have an answer that satisfies me. It could be logically, scientifically, reasonably sound. But an argument for or against on any matter has no value to me  if it isn't just as equally emotionally, sentimentally believable as well.

Every person is different and requires a different kind of evidence. The one, that satisfies them. We are all too eager, to tarnish the other persons belief system that most of us, don't take a moment's breath to appreciate the others. It's easy to dismiss, seems incredibly hard to accept. But when it comes to accepting different point of views, in my personal experience, it's very easy. Requires very little out of you.

You don't have to agree with them, you don't have to believe it, or even really put any stock into it. You simply have to respect that someone else does. And it's easily done once you realize they care about their beliefs simply as much as you care about yours. It's not the matter of convincing one another, it's simply the matter of co-existing.

Beliefs are kinda like weather, lots of different one yet with enough commonality that they can be defined in seasons. And we all like different seasons, yet on a hot sunny day even a snow-lover will enjoying a day on the beach. And a sun lover will enjoy a hill-station as a welcoming relief from the heat.

Amusing thing about seasons though is, most people appreciate spring and fall no matter what their favorite season, weather may be. But have you noticed, in those seasons, everything, and by everything, I mean everything in nature, animals, insects, plants. temperatures, weathers, all co-exist. Now only if we could apply that to ourselves.

It's only quiet before the storm, because everything around is at odds, waiting for the tension in the atmosphere to break.

  1. We all have someone who make us believe in what we've never believed in before. At one point or another, we 'love' change. Let it be in our surroundings or within. A change in perspective...is all it takes to understand one's point of view.
    P.S. I like this article. :)
